Caitlyn Abbot is a South African born pianist who has studied at the College of Music in Cape Town, the Young Musicians Programme at the New Zealand School of Music in Wellington under Judith Clark and finally a BMus(Hons) in performance piano at the University of Auckland under Stephen De Pledge.

Recently arriving in London, Caitlyn is keen to keep teaching while being an active solo performer. As a teacher she aims to cultivate a curiosity and independence in her students' music journey, and to instil a confidence in them through their technique, along with their ability to explore and discover musical ideas.
